Qian Niu Zi/Bai Chou by Treasure of the East also known as Pharbitidis Semen, is used for the patterns of pathogenic water or dampness, thin mucus obstruction in the Lungs and stagnation of damp-heat.

Lung channel: it mobilizes the qi pathways and unblocks the three burners to expel phlegm and drive out thin mucus.

Large Intestine channel: it mobilizes the rectum to drain downward and unblock constipation, eliminate accumulation, and kill parasites.

Kidney channel: it mobilizes the water pathways, facilitating urination. In this manner, it facilitates both the bowels and urine, unblocking both of the lower orifices.

It can also be used for abdominal pain from intestinal parasites, indigestion, and poor appetite.

Contraindications: Contraindicated during pregnancy. Use with caution in weak patients. Do not combine with Crotonis Fructus (ba dou).

Chinese Symptomology: Edema;Ascites, Cough, wheezing, and a sensation of fullness in the chest and abdomen due to obstruction of the Lung qi by thin mucus, Constipation due to accumulation and stagnation of damp-heat of food stagnation in the Stomach and Intestines, Roundworm or tapeworm infestations and food stagnation.

Qian Niu Zi/Bai Chou Ingredients:
Bai Chou (Qian Niu Zi) - Pharbitidis Semen. Non-GMO starch which contains maltodextrin, are used as excipients.

Suggested Use:
Adults mix 4.5 g in hot water and drink as tea 2 to 3 times daily, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
