Tao Hong Si Wu Tang by Blue Poppy’s Great Nature Classics is
a modification of the traditional formula Si Wu Tang (Four Substances
Decoction), with the addition of Safflower and Peach Pit that helps quicken the
blood and resolve stagnation.
Chinese Symptomology: Fixed, severe, and/or piercing pain; Pain which is worse
in the evening; Pain which is better after expulsion of clots; Dark, purple
blood; Dark, purple and/or engorged veins
Western Symptomology: Irregular
menstruation, dysmenorrhea, uterine myomas, abdominal masses, etc.
Action: Quicken the blood and transform stasis, nourish the blood, engender
fluids
Pattern: Blood stasis
Tongue: Dark, purple tongue or static spots on the tongue
Pulse: A choppy, bowstring, deep, slow, bound, regularly
